all nerves are disturbed
might is on its own,
thumping and bumping
beyond control.
The gray matter
has gone to tatter,
the brain has gone to waste
memories are never the same.
The body has been broke
taking longer to heal.
One good poke
could seal the deal.
Conduits are clogged
the heart is slow in pumping.
The last place she’s seen
is the side of the street
Time to buy a new car,
and put this one in the graveyard.

Why I chose the media
The freedom of the press is an important tool for the democratic process. The founding fathers used the media of the day to promote the ideals they found necessary for the freedom of the country. Without the media there is no watchdog to protect the citizens and to hold government accountable to the people except the cycle of election and re-election.
The emergence of the web as a source of information is an exciting time to be a part of the media. The web enables ordinary citizens to voice thier opinions and share experiences without having to have millions of dollars to start a radio station, newspaper or television station. The web offers the democracratic control of media. The process of retrieving information from the web may be a messy process, but so is democracy, but at least you know that the information has not been altered due to self-interests of a conglomerate or product.
